Over booking of flights

I booked our tickets two weeks in advance just to be told when I booked in that the flight is overbooked. After making a fuss I insisted to see the manager. The manager eventually appeared and told me that Kulula reserves the right to overbook by 5%. To my best knowledge this practice is against the Consumer Act. As compensation Tebago offered me two R400 discount vouchers for use with Kulula only and two meal vouchers worth R60 each. This resulted in me leaving for Cape Town at 20:30 instead of 17:15 even though I told Tebago that I specially booked the flight for 17:15 because of a very important business meeting. Needless to say I only arrived at the hotel at 00:30 and no meeting. Now I have to reschedule my meeting at a later date at double the cost.
