METRORAIL CONTRADICTING STANDARDS OF OPERATION

On Cape Town station @ platform 20-24 exit is a counter where you can buy a ticket if you don't have one for whatever reason & hundreds of people buy tickets at this counter before exiting the station every day. Normally when ticket controllers come along on the train with their yellow little portable ticket printer you hand your fair to them & they print your ticket there & then. This morning I forgot my monthly ticket & I had to run for a train so wasn't able to buy a ticket at my station of origin. So when the ticket controllers came past with their yellow little portable ticket printer I get told that I can't buy a ticket on the train & buying a ticket from the counter by the turnstile at platform 20-24 is not permitted so I must pay a R40 fine or I'll be arrested & accompanied to Cape Town Station holding cells. So I ask why do the controllers on the train come past with their portable printers, if I can't buy a ticket on the train & why does the ticket controller sit at that counter at platform 20-24 every day allowing hundreds of people to buy a ticket if its not permitted. I was treated like a criminal, completely humiliated infront of everbody, traumatised.
