I am writing this report on behalf of my husband because he is currently stuck in the middle of nowhere thanks to Eldos. My husband boarded the 11am bus today 12/11/2013 from dbn to jhb. After 1.5 hours the bus broke down and when the passengers called the offices to request another bus be sent, they said that there's no other bus, they are sending the mechanic. After 2.5 hours they got moving again, only to stop after 45 minutes because the bus broke down yet again! It is now 5:45pm -more than 6 and a half hours into the trip and they are still in pmb. Is not the first time that eldos us over. They claim to be a luxury coach, yet on my last trip they sent a dilapidated bus from maharaj coaches. I've been a loyal customer despite all these hiccups, but no more! I've had it with eldos and I think that they should be put out of business because they cause more inconvenience than anything else!! This is ridiculous service and unacceptible! The manager couldn't even help! Is there any ombudsman or authority to report this type of pathetic service to? The passengers might as well just have extended their stay in dbn if this is how busses operate.
I will never use eldos again!
