I want to file a complaint against the Absa credit life insurance dept. All the documentation was handed in July'11.In '12 I received a statement from regarding the loan. I went to ABSA in PE where I handed in all the documentation & the same lady that helped me. She phoned credit life insurance they told her that the person that was working with this claim didn't work at ABSA and nobody was assigned to work on my husbands claim. Can you imagine the interest on the account. It was sent to teamleader and she will assign someone to work on claim. She still said not to worry as he had insurance on his personal loan. Later in '12 I received another statement. I dealt with Desiree Munsamy at ABSA in JHB. She said to me in Apr '13 that the claim was paid in full. This year I received another statement from she said to me again it was paid in full, but she is struggling to get a paid in full letter. In Sept '13 I received a letter from Absa stating that I owe? R11k in interest charges. There was an insurance which has to cover the loan in the event of death. ABSA must pay this loan in full. I will not be held liable for the mistakes that credit life dept made. I will be waiting for your response
