I booked a return economy flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg for my husband. I used Travelstart as they seemed to have the cheapest flights across all airlines. Or so I thought. After a hefty admin fee had been added as well as all sorts of other frankly useless options, I may as well have booked a business class flight. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we needed to change thereturn date, and I contacted Travelstart at their Cape Town office, and was left on hold for 20 minutes until I was eventually cut off. When I finally got through again, I was told that I could not be furnished the cost of changing the flight over the phone, and that an email would be sent to me. When I received the email, the exorbitant amount of R1 360, 00 was quoted for changing the return flight, however NO INVOICE WAS SENT and I was (and still am) unable to pay. I have tries 5 times this morning to get through to Travalstart, and as at time of writing this, I AM STILL ON HOLD!!! Utterly SHOCKING service, and a complete rip off. I will NEVER use Travelstart again, and will advise everyone I know not to either.
