Whenever I book a ticket on SAA's website, the booking goes through but cancels 5 minutes later. The call center tells me it happens because my credit cards are all on some sort of list. The reason for this? I've booked tickets for someone other than myself on my card. These "others" are my wife and children.
Unbelievable, I've now spent an hour with the SAA call center on 2 separate occasions to remove all my cards from this supposed "hot list", and to book the flight telephonically, only for the problem to repeat itself months later.
How I wish the government would privatise SAA so it can be turned around, or go bust.
