Misinformation about costs

After signing up for the policy, R6956 was debited off my cheque account after I was informed that it will be a monthly installment of R184. I cancelled my policy and asked for the money to be transferred back immediately as I do not have that amount of money in my accounts.

It has now been 7 weeks and am being sent from pillar to post. My calls are not being taken and my emails not responded to. No one can tell me how long this process takes or how far along in the process my query is. I have dealt with Noeline from the call centre who simply said that my query is being dealt with by Lynette - who unsurprisingly is now on leave.

How much longer do I have to wait for my money? And how can anyone trust The Vacation Club or The Holiday Club? This all seems too sketchy.
