Crew lack knowledge on correct procedure

Flew Mango airlines on the 22nd from CPT - King Shaka International on the 10:30am flight. During descent my brother had terrible earache and blockage and he was screaming in agony - one male member on board with the crew look unconcerned - he even laughed/chuckled at him. One of the blonde females brought him cups with pieces of cut-up tissue/cloth inside - this was completely dry and did not relieve his pain. Later I found out the reason for this- the cloth was supposed to be moist with hot water! This raises the question - does SAA/Mango train their staff properly? If so, did these members pass? Not 1 out of the 3 was competent enough to follow correct procedure! This was incredibly dangerous and a bad experience for us and for all those around us who witnessed this incident! Will never fly Mango again if this is the case. I think a re-evaluation/re-test is needed. The landing wasn't pleasant either!
