In December after 2 weeks in the USA, we spent our last night at the Hyatt Hotel Ford Lauderdale, as arranged by Flight Centre. On the same document where all our travel information was listed, Flight Centre arranged for our transfer to the airport the next day at 15:15pm. The following day we waited at the time and no one arrived. We called the transfer company who informed us our pick up was arranged for 2 hours earlier. Yet no one tried to contact us via reception. Therefore leaving us stranded in Miami, with no one to speak to, and nowhere to go, as our flight already left at 15:00. This cost us an extra night's accommodation (R1000), transport ($40) as well as the babysitting fees for our kids back in SA (R500). Changing our flights was an additional R2700. Not mentioning our telephone bill! Therefore resulting in around R5000 for OUR bill. After lodging a complaint 5 months ago, NOTHING has happened and NO ONE has come back to us. Except for a feeble attempt on passing the buck by saying "We will come back to you" & that WE were suppose to confirm our transfer time ourselves - the FIRST we heard of that! No where does it say that on our voucher! I find this SHOCKING!
