I am booked on a flight to George for the Knysna half marathon and recently injured myself so I can't run. Tried to cancel my Kulula flight, only to be told that there will be a 75% cancellation fee.
HOW ON EARTH CAN THEY JUSTIFY A 75% (SEVENTY-FIVE) CANCELLATION FEE?
With 5 weeks to go they will definitely re-sell the ticket, probably to the person who takes my run number for the Knysna Half (a popular and busy event), so they plan on making 175% on that seat.
UNBELIEVABLY shocking policy and I don't plan on being quiet about it. But because they're the only "low-cost" airline that has survived we have to put up with this.
I am disappointed. I can understand high premiums closer to the departure date, but 5 weeks before... c'mon Kulula - you're just taking advatage now.
