I have yet to resolve the problem of wishing to terminate my dads membership with QVC as I have not benefited from it for over 5 years, and won't benefit from it for more than the coming 5 years. I have written a letter to terminate the contract and the reply was, they can't find the documentation as they are moving and everything is boxed up. A response completely unacceptable when it comes to contractual items.
In the contract it states 30 days notice is required for termination, however they replied saying I am not permitted to terminate the contract, due to it being a life membership, however this was NOT communicated at the signing of the contract, nor is there a term in the contract stating this. Every month an amount is deducted of which can't be afforded anymore, and QVC are just to happy to continue deducting every month, where I have absolutely no benefit whatsoever.
What can I do to terminate this contract, as I find it unfair for them to VERBALLY state its a lifetime contract, however there is nothing in writing, and when requested to highlight the point stating this in the contract, they couldn't!
