I got unsolicitted calls from VLC to attend presentations in Midrand & on 22/8/12 i attended and their sales agent Sicelo convinced me to sign a contract and pay R4374 deposit then pay R566 pm for 8 years & get "exciting" holidays. They charged about R400 pm "management" fee which was not explained upfront but was hidden in the contract and R40pm "insurance" which i refused. I raised it with VLC & Cecilia Van der Watt said it was in my contract. I mentioned that i wanted to terminate the contract & she mentioned it was in perpetuity (lifetime). I also got a final notice (without1st or 2nd notice) from JD Hews collections. On 27/3/12 i sent LVC, Sedgefield a Voluntary surrender letter (Section 127 of NCA allows us to terminate ANY agreement) by overnight courier & it was received by Kirsten i have proof. Section 127 gives them 10 days to give me a valuation notice which they never did and failure to do so is an offence. Dean called me & offered me other holidays which i refused as i have terminated & referered him to my termination notice. Since then i reverse all debits until they attend to NCA Section 127 notice i served them and i want my payments deposit less management fees.
