Oh dear!

I have had to alter my travel plans and requested (or so I thought) my destination city

I put forward three requests (for the exact same dates as the original booking)

CPT - MUC OR
CPT - HKG - OR
CPT - GRU

I was told that it would be possible to change the flight and that I should call back in 3 hours. Furthermore I was told that the three requests could be processed together.

I called the next day (a Sunday) and was told that a request to change flight details could not be processed on a weekend. Fine. I can understand that but annoyed that I was not told this on the first call.

Today is Monday. I called at 09h00 only to be told that the request has not been processed and "call back in 4 hours"... but they had a question. How was I going to get to Vietnam? Vietnam??? Who said anything about Vietnam?

Now it's 4 hours later. I have just ended my call to the SAA call centre. No luck. Apparently the request cannot be completed as they (SAA) need flight numbers, etc for the re-routing.

Who would of thought that it could be this difficult!

I know this long winded letter will not help. But at least I feel better.
