I previously listed a complaint on Hellopeter on the 7th January, just asking the question as to when more stock of the iPhone 5 will arrive in SA, and I got a prompt response indicating that MTN was awiting stock and that the delay was supplier related, which I can understand and accept. I have watched 2 colleagues receive iPhone 5s within the past week, both are with different networks other than MTN. I have been eligible for an upgrade since mid November and I have had my name on numerous lists at various stores in the greater Durban area with no response as I believe a first come first serve basis is in operation which I also understand due to the demand. I then read other complaints regarding lack of stock and a response was suggested to try MTN Direct, whcih I promptly did and again left my name and number. Vodacom called a colleague mentioned above to indicate they had stock and he has gone to collect his new phone. This prompted me to call a few stores and MTN Direct to see if stock had arrived. I was told no stock at the store and only stock of the 64gb iPhone at MTN Directa dnthat they were sold out of the 32gb phone which I was after, this means another delay!!
