Lack of Clear Communication, very rude call centre

I am truly disappointed with the way MTN SP has managed my account at the last month. When I opened this account I was not informed that I am supposed to call them and cancel my contract. As a service provider, it must be their duty to remind customers when their time almost due so we can make prior arrangements before damage is done. Now they are charging full payment with an extra on top, of airtime I never used and, they forfeited it at the time I cancelled my account. All they are good at is informing people about up grades but the real important things they do not inform. I was on a Black berry contract for R368, 99 per month. and now that I didn't cancel the contract, I have been charged with R402 which I never used.

why must it be the customers duty to remind the service provider to cancel, but when advertising you clearly say 24MONTH CONTRACT!!! I called the operator 2days after the day I was supposed to cancel the contract to cancel the contract and the consultant never explained to me that even if I have cancelled, I am still going to be liable for payment of the airtime they had already given me even though they took the airtime back.

I cannot pay this amount.
