My name is Phyllis, in february 2012 I opened a contract with 8ta for a blackberry 9900 which blacked out and stopped operating within two weeks, i then had to find time which i dont have since i work in a hospital for long hours in a day to return the phone. They then gave me a new 9900 since they realised that the one i was given was faulty.
This second fone then stopped operating a month later, they booked in the phone and only gave me another phone after six weeks, during this period i was struggling with the cheap replacement they offered me for the period. A third new set of the blackberry 9900 was then given to me again and this phone still gave me hassles, my consumer rights have been breached and I records of missed calls from business deals i missed due to a non fuctioning phone.
I pay R336 each month and havent missed payment.
Now this third phone has blacked out again and i took it back on the 13th of April 2013, 8ta expects me to pay them in order for them to fix a phone that i did not cause damage too. I am emotionally and financially exhausted and will rather cancel this contract than pay money for a phone i did not damage. I will take legal action against 8ta.
