Failure to deliver contract laptop

We went to the Vodacom Clearwater branch to sign up for a new contract which provides you with a 3GIG data bundle plus an HP4540 laptop on approx 25 March 2013. We were told to come back after Easter as stock would take about 2-3 days to arrive once order is placed and was promised a call once stock is in. The contract mentioned was advertised in the Vodacom brochure for the month of March-April so was valid when we signed up for the contract.

We did not receive a call post the easter holidays and I gave them a few days grace until the end of the easter week, where I followed up and was told that stock had not arrived as yet and that they will call me to let me know when it was in.

I followed up another 2 weeks later on 12 April, 3 full weeks after placing the order, and after speaking with Ali, was told that there is no stock at the warehouse and they were not given an ETA. The call had dropped and I called back and spoke to another shop assistant who confirmed that there was no ETA given to them and they have no idea when to expect stock in as they have not had any feedback on their 'system' since placing the order.

Vodacom must deliver on an advertised product but has failed!
