Bad attitude from the consultant

I got my phone sony experia j as a gift from my hubby, it was only 3 days then the phone fell from the 3rd floor and it was badly damaged.i took to vodashop in highveld mall (where my hubby bought it) it had no insurance so i asked for a quotation, it was booked and the quotation was around R3000 which i rejected the quote.when we went to collect we got a very bad service from the consultant only because we asked if we can sell back the phone to them or get another phone on contract.it was a nightmare just for asking that.i felt offended because i wanted to know what are our options since the phone is not working and it was only 3 days since my hubby bought the phone.my hubby has been with vodacom (contract) for almost 2 decades now but we got a very bad attitude.
