Billing you even when you have no service

Telkom kept suspending my ADSL for non payment on an old account witch was settled a year before. I lost service -1 to 2 weeks in a month, every month I phone to sort it out and the next month its the same again. January 2013 I got fed up and cancelled my service with them and settled my account, only to receive a bill for services for March. I contacted them and I was told I still have to pay them because I have to give a months notice. Now they've handed me over to the attorneys. They've got a snowballs chance in if they think I'm giving them a cent for services not received.
