I never thought i would say this, but i've had a strangely excellent experience from the Telkom Direct Store at Protea Mall, Chartwell Drive, Umhlanga Rocks.
I think we've all become accustomed to the terrible service experienced at Telkom, but this was my first interaction with this store and it was wrong of me to assume it would like the others. Had an issue with my Billion 810VNTX router, Daryl Khumalo mentioned they had none in stock but would have to speak to his Manager Jose and he would call me back. I never expected to receive a call, but was amazed to hear from Jose who called back to keep me updated with the status of this.
First time hassle free service and both Daryl & Jose deserve high appraisal.
Whilst in the store waiting for the issue to be resolved, i noticed the way Jose handled another customer and was amazed at how efficiently he went about his business. I think Telkom need more managers like these to save their falling name.
A Definite Manager of the Month award from me.
