I run a small business and have numerous clients who run their email over a Google mail server. In their superior wisdom Mweb has decided to block incoming mail from all Google mail servers. Brilliant move Mweb - especially considered that Google has more mail users than the whole of South Africa combined!
I first approached the every helpful @Mwebguy on twitter, because, well he is helpful. But he said it was on my client's side. Yes all 5 different clients have the same issue. Nice pass the buck! Anyway as the issue got worse and more clients said they couldn't mail me I phoned technical support who said they know nothing about it and told me to mail the Abuse department. Two automated responses telling me to whitelist domains and NO resolution. Even after white listing all domains...
Now I am told by a fairly technical source who had the same issue that Mweb needs to "authenticate" the Google port on their side for ones account. Righty... Sounds simple but who the does one talk to? It seems no one at Mweb actually has any technical background. Because surely GOOGLE must be malware or spam. That small company. Yes Mweb I am not happy.
