I had three contracts with MTN. December 2012 I asked for the settlement amounts and paid them and phoned and emailed mtn cancellations/retentions department asking to cancel and close these accounts. In January my mtn contract with topped up with airtime again so I assumed my accounts weren't close. I phoned MTN and asked them again to close the account. February and March I had debit orders for the amount of R3523.63 going off on my cheque account. I went to my bank and reversed these debit orders. I phoned MTN again today and asked them what is going on and I was told by Neo that the accounts were closed, he does not know why the debit orders has gone off, he will speak to the billing department. I have to phone the 173 number which is in a language I do not speak, then the call centre is rude and cuts your call. I want this debit order reversed and accounts closed for GOOD! I will never take out a contract with MTN again. The service is disgusting and their call centre is pathetic.
