My parents live on a farm in the Barkly East district. They are forever having problems with their phone. It went out on the 2nd of January was on for about a hour on the 4th of January and was then off until the 11th. You can never get hold of anybody to report it to. They then try and fob you off with useless excuses. They are on radio phones thus there are no lines and yet they keep on telling you that they are working on the lines. They then bring out the next excuse "they are working on the cable", another lie. The problem obviously sits with the local tower as it is only the 3 phones that rely on that tower that are out. The local technician has on numerous occasions told them that there is a software fault but nobody does anything about it.
