Payment arrangement

On the 20th I phoned Vodacom replying on a sms requesting to phone them if i cannot pay my account by today to make an arrangement. I phone them, made a payment arrangement confirming with the lady to pay the 26th of March my account. The whole conversation was recorded, i was told. Not 5 hours later, vodacom disconnected my phone. How is this possible, after a payment arrangement. Why do I even bother to phone and try to make an arrangement. Waste of time.
