Vodacom unethical billing practise

I received an sms that Vodacom will be suspending my services because of an unpaid account, I immediately called customer care as I know my account is paid and up to date. I was told that a bill for May in 2012 (one year ago!!) was not paid, but my account says "paid in full"/amount owing: zero!!! where does this come from one year later?? I have been a Vodacom client for many many years but I can wait to change my service provider. Vodacom's billing ethics is questionable
