I took delivery of a laptop @ Autopage on 16/02/13. The contract was for an amount of R299. I was told with my first bill I will pay a once off connection fee. However my total bill would not exceed R500 as my internet usage had a limit of R50. I was FURIOUS to find that my 1st deduction was R1300.67! When I contacted the agent Lee-Jane who attended to my contract. She could NOT explain to me how the limit went to an amount of R700! I then requested the manager Hannalie Smith to explain this to me but she was unavailable. I sent her an email in hopes of sorting the matter out & left a message that I would come and see her. It's been 3 days now and I still await her response to my email! I also went back to the store and she had left for the day knowing I was coming to see her. I find this service totally shocking! I cannot be held responsible for this bill after I was guaranteed my bill would not exceed R500. I am aware that the limit put on is not always accurate but certainly it cannot be so inaccurate to exceed R650. I am ready to approach the National Consumer Protector should I not receive a favourable outcome!
