Uncapped ADSL not what it seems

We recently applied for an Uncapped ADSL line from Telkom. The technician came out and installed the router and I went in to the shop to sign the contract and get my username and password. I then did self installation and it was done successfully. Upon completing a speed test, it appears that I only have the ability to reach a max of 45 kb/s download on a 1MB Line... According to me, you should AT THE VERY LEAST be able to reach 100kb/s when downloading.

I called the 10210 telkom online call center and spoke to a consultant (who's name I have forgotten) She did the standard port reset and while I was on the line, I completed yet another speed test only to reach 53 kb/s... which is still 50 kb under the very least that you should be able to reach. The consultant said to me that according to her, it was now better... I did not ask HER opinion, I asked her to fix it.

By the looks of all the reports on Hellopeter, I am not the only one who feels that this so called "service" is NOT up to standard. We are paying for a 1mb line... NOT A 53KB line...

Please telkom... Fix this.
