Telkom
ADSL 2MB line speed/fault

I applied for a 2MB uncapped ADSL line from Telkom around 30 January 2014 and was told that my area supports speeds of up to 4MB. The technician that arrived connected a D-Link router and I completed the self installation. The line is absolutely unusable! I am able to enter a website, but the website page does not load. I can barely even do a speed test on [URL Removed] and on the occasion that I can, I get line speeds of under 500kbps!
I reported this to Telkom under reference numbers 39824/42 and 556786198. The technicians reset the port and insist that the router is synching at 2MB and I did a router reset. This did not resolve the issue. I was told that there is a problem with the server exchange. I called again on 06/02/2014 and after holding for about an hour they wanted to perform another port reset! This requires me to be at home, so I have to call again at night. I'll have to hang on for another hour before they answer. Really Telkom? I've cancelled my ADSL 1 year ago and moved to mobile 3G. After all the marketing around Telkom's uncapped service I thought they'd sorted out their problems, but clearly this hasn't happened. Can anyone from Telkom explain?
