OVER A WEEK WAITING FOR A HANDSET UPGRADE

I applied for a handset upgrade (Sony Xperia Tablet) on the 09 March 2013 at MTN Highveld Mall Witbank and was told that there was no stock. Sat 16 March they called me to explain that they were offline and the store that they were supposed to get this from could not release the handset, the guy promised that i would have this by Sunday, however I haven't heard anything since.

Does it really take more than a week to get a handset delivered? How long am i supposed to wait for this. I will soon be going out of the country for 2 weeks and that means i will have to wait for more than a month before getting a handset that i am paying for? I have been trying to call the store for the past 2 days however the number doesn't go through, always engaged.

Please refer me to a store that has this handset readily available because i am not willing to wait anymore.

My phone number was migrated to a data bundle number last week thus i cant actually use the number for anything else until it gets activated on the tablet, which means I will actually be paying for a week or more for a service which i am not using.

Extremely unsatisfied customer.
