I went to the outlet with a query regarding cancelling a contract. I explained the scenario to the assistant who immediately looked away from me and started talking to another assistant. I have no problem with her being a trainee and needing advice from a colleague but it would have been nice if she had listened to my query, looked me in the eye and said something like, "I'll find out for you" or something like that.
I find that kind of client service to be extremely rude and it devalues me as a customer. Surely trainees are given some type of etiquette training to align their behaviour with the company values?
The assistant who then dealt with my issue was helpful but the trainee assistants attitude left me irritated.
