I had a Neotel Neoflex 2Gb datacard contract from December 2011 to January 2013.
On the 2 February 2013 i decided to go into Neotel N1 City to enquire about a new contract specifically the
NeoGo Datacard 2GB contract which had a R399 datacard charge. I specifically asked the consultant if i had to pay the device charge as i had a datacard from an expired contract. The consultant said that the device charge would be waivered and would not be billed for it as i was using my own Neotel datacard and a new one was not issued. SREQ 67099995
I received my first statement on the 7 March 2013 which included a device fee of R399.
i sent an email addressing my case to [Email Removed] and called the call center to find out as well.
the call center agent told me that i was right and took my detail and said the matter was referred to a manager and he would contact me. i did not receive a call, but received a reply on my email saying i had to pay. i called the center again on the 11/03/2013 and was told that they logged the request and suggest that i pay and the money would be credited to me.
I find this unacceptable and don't see why i have to be billed for something i own.
