After a few complaints about the bad signal in my area, i got a call from a gentleman in one of the call-centres who took time to go thru my problem and give me advice to improve my signal at home where i do a lot of my work. I now have full signal on both my Cell-C phones and i am more than happy. Help was all i wanted and although it took some time to get it, it is worth the savings i'm making being with Cell-C (R350/mth as oppossed to R950 /mth on vodacom). I am trying to encourage my staff to change to Cell-C as the calls are free (within reason). Anyone else who lives in an area where Cell C have not upgraded their network, and uses their phone mainly for calls, if your signal is bad, go to 'manual network selection' and set your phone on 'Vodacom 2G'. Cell C have a deal with them to use their towers or something like that.
