Shoddy service and buck passing

On the 21st February 2013 I eventually decided to upgrade my cell contract with Autopage. They provided me with a Blackberry 9790 which I took home and discovered when I inserted the battery it was faulty. I then returned the phone the next morning, 22nd February, as well as the gift card and told them to cancel the upgrade. They accepted the broken phone back as well as the gift card which they cancelled. The phone was sent by N1 City branch to Altech Autopage, 2 Augrabies Road phone number 011 6505111 on the 22 February 2013 by Courier IT. I thought that was the end of it until I received a message from Autopage Cellular on the 11th March 2013, today, notifying me that my new migration (contract) has been accepted. I immediately went to N1 City branch and was told that they refuse to cancel my upgrade. I now find myself without a phone, except for the R 169.00 phone I was forced to buy at clicks, due to their incompetence. It is unbelievable that a corporate client be treated in such a way bearing in mind I have had the same cell phone number since 1994. I would just prefer to see out the terms of my old contract and never have anything to do with Autopage ever again.
