8 Days to get my number back

I was hijacked last week Monday and my phone. I went to the 8ta store in Kollonade to get a new phone and get my number back, requesting a sim swap. I was initially told the order would take 24 hours and my phone would be there the next day.

When I arrived the next day, I was told the contract was ready but the phone had not arrived. After multiple trips to the store (as they do not have a listed telephone number) I was told on Saturday that my phone had arrived but they could not complete the order as it was in the semi-final stage and had to be completed by the technical team.

Gratitude told me to wait 1-2 hours for the support ticket she logged to be processed. After 2 hours I called the 8ta call centre myself and was told the request, logged on Friday when the stock was received, would take 72 hours to be completed.

I called this morning and was once again told the order could not be completed as weekends do not count towards the 72 hours, even though weekends fall within their operating hours.

I use this number for business and I want my number back TODAY. My clients cannot get hold of me, I am losing money and my patience is running thin.
