Bias interpretation of 7 days exchange warranty

03 Sunday 15H00 I signed a new contract with a new handset. After day 5 the handset malfunctioned. Returned it on Sunday the 10th at 11H00 and the store manager told me that my 7 day return period have expired since I have had the phone for 8 days already, and refused to exhange my handset for a new one. This implies that the contract that I have signed should have stated that I have that day 6 additional days to return the faulty unit, but the contract clearly stipulates that I had 7 days.

7 Days x 24 Hours = 168 Hours. I was within those limits.

My phone was taken for a warranty repair, and not a replacement. I am now stuck without a phone, and can not even use the service that I am paying for, and it does not sound that any kind of refund will be coming my way.

Phoned customer care and they just said that they will get back to me, guess what, nothing happened.

Logic is simple
1. 7 days warrenty now turned out to be a 6 day warranty
2. Which implies that I now have to pay for a service that I can not use

Viva MTN

MTN is to big to care!!!
