I have applied for a contract through Cell C on Saturday 2 March 2013, I waited for over an hour, was eventually told that my application had passed then was immediately failed. I was asked to come back on Monday. I went back on Sunday to explain that there might be a mix up with the way our company is structured and who pays the pay slip, it is a department / company of a bigger company. Then I went back today 7 March 2013 and waited another hour to be told that they still cannot confirm my employment.

I have never had such a problem since I have been applying for accounts and or credit! Why now? Why can't you prove my employment???

While in store, an employee told me that the person trying to contact my employer could not get through. I dialled in front of the store clerk, which was answered in 1 ring and then offered to hand over to the clerk who refused to speak to the employer to prove employment.

The store clerk then said that it is not their responsibility to confirm employment details, but the call centre! I then requested that they contact me back regarding a response which never happened?!?!?!?!
