Paying double after name change?

I changed the account details from my dad's name to my name last week, but vodacom still took a debit order of R242 from him.

The lady who helped me said that the debit order will take place on the 7th from my account, and not from my dad's anymore? So now I assume i'm gonna pay double? That doesn't seem right.

I went for an upgrade yesterday as well, and before that my outstanding balance was R390 something R240 for my phone package, and then the transfer fee of R130, and now after they took the debit order from my dad's account, the outstanding balance is R530 something? What seems to be the problem here?
