Cancellation of Service

I had a Virgin Mobile contract and 3 months before it was scheduled to expire I went in to cancel the contract where I was told that I can only do this after the contract has finished. When I went in the month after the contract expired I was told that I had to give a 1 month notice all of a sudden which i accepted and paid and requested that the service should be cancelled.

After this I've noticed that I was still receiving a statement entailing that I owe more and more money on a monthly basis and I've emailed to ask why this is not cancelled yet, where i was told that no cancellation request was ever put it. This is after I've asked 4 times previously to get this cancelled. After this phone call I'm still receiving monthly statements saying that I owe more and more money.

Can you please sort this out as I don't understand why its so hard to get this service cancelled and moved to prepaid. Worst service I've ever gotten in my life.
