I decided to port my MTN 750 contract that I've had for 5 yrs to Autopage. At & was told by Praneel that I needed to cancel my contract &go onto Pre-paid before I could port
I received my phone&SIM&left, with the promise that the SIM would be done within 2-24 hrs.
That was on Thurs. On Tues I was still not connected & had placed many calls to the service team, &was put on hold or informed that Praneel wasn't available.
When I got through to a Service Manager, named Siphele Mhlongo, on Wednesday, he was very apologetic &said he would "walk there" &find out what was going on.
On Friday I was connected, but my no wasn't sending. The reasoning was that Praneel recommended the 'wrong process' & that the Porting Team had no idea why he had done this, so they merely reactivated my ORIGINAL SIM card &it was (mostly) working.
A week later my phone stopped dialing out/sending SMS's (insufficient airtime).
It took another 3 days to sort this out.
Finally I got my dialing &SMS's back, &my no started sending itself again.
My phone has stopped working again.
Praneel was unreachable for the last 3 days&got vague promises from Susan Olifant that he "will call today" which he never did.
