More money lost

Having driven 45 minutes there and the same back and one and a half hours filling in forms with a huge amount of personal information I was then refused a contract. This after wanting two phones on R399 x 24 month contract that's a minimum of R19, 152 all the extra calls and data. Being a non national living here full time provided passport, utility bills and 3 bank statements showing lots of money and income but presumably still didn't tick a box. Can't blame the sales staff at Paarl not even the girl in the credit department at Jo'burg but some at head office who dreamed up the form and didn't allow for any wriggle room. Another instance of wanting to spend money having an impeccable credit history and not being allowed to. No wonder FDI is so scarce as there are so many obstacles for non nationals. Have lived in several countries but nowhere puts up so many barriers to either bringing money in or spending it here. So i'll be staying with Vodacom and advise anyone else thinking of changing not to waste their time. What a shambles.
