My ADSL line had the following faults:
1. Noise on the line - Solved
2. Slow download speed down to 240Kbs from 5Mbs - Partially solved.
3. Time outs - Not solved
Was told that the cable on the street must be replaced as it is faulty!! Not done yet.
They installed a temporary cable so I can use the internet - Time outs still exists!!!

on the 14/02/2013 I have checked again and Telkom have closed the last fault without resolving the problem.
I have tried to open another log and the "profetional consultant" did not know what does timeouts means?!!!
I am going to open a new fault again.
Telcom have escelated the fault ARS 221430 on the 08 feb 2013. nobody contacted me as yet.
I have asked the "consultant to speek with her supervisor and she have "let" me hang there for about 15 minutes until I hanged out!!!
I was told by a senior technician that Telkom are running out of contractors and thats why the installation of the replacement cable is beeing delayed!?!?!?!?!? Amazing
