On the 5th I called Telkom whilst shopping around for deals on Wi-Fi. Whilst talking to their consultant she told me that they have a fantastic deal. She told me to visit their website as we were chatting and she directed me to their special called the 'simple 3'. She told me that it's a special with no hidden costs it includes free installation, I get 5 gigs of data monthly and 500 megs once-off data from 8ta. She then told me that I will pay R399.00 per month and its obligation free and after the installation I should call Telkom on 10210 and tell them I need a username and password. On 8th Friday a technician from Telkom came by my house and installed the Wi-Fi device.*Fast forward* Today on the 12th my Wi-Fi is still not working I received a call from Telkom and they told me that a consultant will contact me at 1700 to sort out the issue, the consultant then told me that my bill will be calculated pro-rata this month and it will be R900.00 which 150% of the amount agreed upon. To me this honestly shows Telkom as who are misleading the public with their false adverts.
