I went overseas for one month (december 2013) - i asked Cell C to activate roaming, so I could make or receive calls/sms's- they did inform me that to be online would be very expensive, which I accepted- but no one informed me, that I should SWITCH OFF my internet facility while not in use! I didn't even know that this could be done, and thought that I would only pay for what I used- so, they billed me for being on line permanently- I am not "tech-savvy", and had no idea that this was the case- I hardly used my fone- and suddenly received an account for R17000! I am willing to pay a nominal amount (a few hundred Rand). In the interim, I no longer can use that phone number, creating a huge inconvenience! I cannot, and will not pay that amount- I feel I was uninformed regarding this service- please help!
