International Roaming Rip Off

According to Cell C I was not eligible for International Roaming unless a customer for 3 months, without my knowledge it was switched on by Cell C, I went overseas for a week kept my phone off most of the time, made no calls, after three days I got a msg from Cell C saying I have reached my R250 call limit & my phone will be suspended. Phoned Cell C when I got back & was appalled when they told me about the R5, 800 bill. Who gives them the right to switch the roaming on without informing you the t&c's. Who gives them the right to decide at what amount to suspend your line thereby deciding what you can & can't afford. My husband who was overseas with me on MTN got softlocked at R1, 000 & his total bill was R1, 500. How do you get a msg for suspension at R250 &come back &your bill is R5800?? This is Daylight!! I have been in contact with Cell C, have a million reference numbers, every time they say we will phone you back &THEY NEVER DO! My Family & Husband will NOT touch Cell C! My Line has been cut off for 2 months coz of inter roaming but they still take the monthly sub fees off my account which I have no use of (free mins & data) I am paying for a service I am NOT getting!!
