Last week Friday, I was informed that Telkom would install our ADSL line on Monday the 3rd of February. I received a phone call from the technician at 9:30am who informed me that he had arrived. Not being in Grahamstown, I told him that he could gain access to the property via Bronwyn and gave him her phone number and relevant details.
Today I was informed that the technician did not contact Bronwyn and instead left the premises without installing the ADSL and telephone line. It is urgent that this line be installed as I will be taking up permanent residence in Grahamstown as of next week and needed it to be installed before I arrived. This lack of communication is shocking, and had the technician called Bronwyn, this could have been avoided.
No rescheduled date was set.
