In early September 2013, I spoke to the MTN Century City sales centre about ending my contract (A0557447) because I was going overseas for an extended period & would get a new SIM in the new country. I was told that my current contract only expired at the end of December & I would have to do the cancellation in writing - email was acceptable.
I sent off an email to Customer Care on 13/09/2013 informing them I was leaving the country and was ending my contract at the end of December when it expired. The email was acknowledged with ref: #7054723 by MTN.
I repeated this email again in November and December (MTN ref: #7461327) and sadly got the impression that MTN Customer Care doesn't actually read their emails. They cancelled my Blackberry BIS in December but have continued with my contract & are deducted money from my South African bank account at the end of December & today again despite my sending numerous emails in addition to those mentioned. They keep sending one which says I must give 30 days notice in writing - I've gave notice in writing 5 months ago and repeated the email monthly since then.
Return the money to my bank account with interest. What you are doing is!
