Processing error resulting in incorrect billing

Decided to cancel and do early settlement of laptop contract early November with the view of taking out cellphone contract. Requested laptop contract to be cancelled and paid early settlement amount (biggest mistake) this was done early November. Early December new contract was taken out, got my phone and was happy. Late December I realized my account was not debited with payment and called the accounts department. They advised me my account is in credit. I was surprised because this was meant to be my first payment. They said they will investigate and get back to me. They never did. January came and still no debit. Called them again and had to explain to them again what happened and was advised they they cannot debit me because my acc is in credit, they realized that the settlement amount I paid was credited to the wrong acc, (the new contract) and my old laptop contract was never cancelled. They will correct and get back to me. They didn't after 6 calls and 4 diff agents matter is still not resolved, I have nw received SMS stating that I have been handed over for non payments And my line will be cut.nw pls explain to me why me as a customer must be victimsed for their blunder???
