Change of ownership gone wrong

In August 2013 a change of ownership was done, on a contract I took out for one of my friends. the banking details of this contract was my friend's since the contract started. Now that he is not paying his account; I can't do anything on mine, the system says customer has hotlined account and yet when they all my numbers are still active. I investigated and found out that my friend is not paying his account anymore. This has been escalated and Call center agents have been phoning me and saying it was because the account was not payed when change of ownership was done. How would I know if it was payed or not because it was going out of his bank account from the beginning. It is pathetic to think that after explaining this over and over again nobody understands. I know that Cell C blocks all your contracts if you get into areas. If I owed them anything then why aren't any of my lines locked?
Furthermore I had to contact Cell C several times to get this sorted out. First time I were made aware of this was in November. I gave Cell C all the information they required to fix this. Then in December I had to escalate this again. Late in January 2014 I contacted Cell C support on twitter.
