Frustrating miscommunication by call ccentre agent

In october 2013 i called mtn to cancel my contract and was told by an agent that cancellations are done at a certain period and had to call back at that time. I didnt call back as i forgot. To my surprise, about a month later, my contract was cancelled to prepaid without confirmation or notification. As a result i lost credit that was on the phone. I called mtn taccount. What is the 161 for and y was it not communicated to me in october when the contract account was cancelledo log a complaint and was told by a consultant on email that r458 would be reversed into my account for the airtime lost as well as the phone amount i was billed after the contract was paid up. That amount was never paid back into my account.instead mtn has been sending threatening text message to suspend my phone coz I OWE r161.My question is i have been liasing with mtn from october to december 6th and all i was told is they will reimburse R458 INTO my. Why was the 161 not mentioned.and why has the r458 not reimbursed. Why cant someone from mtn call to explain the 161 amount owing instead of sending threating smss.i have been given countless ref numbers that have not been followed through SR#1-10773886811& 1068 2278
