Cancelled my cell numbe

Last week i got a call from a vodacom call centre operator to say i must ignore an sms send to my phone saying that my number will change because that is sms was intended for another client whose last two digits differ from mine.
To my surprise the following morning i was unable to use my phone, i had to make transport arrangements from my holiday accommodation to get to a mall where i could have the matter reversed and attended to costing me money and time whilst being on holiday.
A week later i get an whats app message from a friend saying that he tried to get a call me but no calls, came through to my cell, when i called vodacom they said that my a sim swop had taken place and my number has been given to someone else AGAIN, dont understand their protocol with giving doing sim swops as I had to give five numbers called from my cell when i had to do the sim swop the previous week?
I was told the services to my phone will resume after 24hrs nothing yet (ref A1-SBOZ-A53WO)
I think that Vodacom have major problems within the company with regards to staff not knowing how to do certain procedures.
